In 2000, the Town of Vail adopted the following vision statement: To be the premier mountain resort community. For many years, in various ski industry polls, the Vail Mountain ski experience has been voted THE premier experience in North America. In collaboration with the Vail's Billion Dollar Renewal, Vail Resorts' new Lionshead project is a major step in sustaining this commitment to excellence for many years to come.
The New LionsHead proposal evolves out of the LionsHead Master Plan approved by the Town of Vail in 1998. The objective is to transform LionsHead into a first-class destination mountain resort that captures the timeless feel and ambiance of the finest European villages, while blending it into the distinctive character already established in Vail Village.
The New LionsHead, along with Vail Resorts' Refined Vail Village project, will nurture an already outstanding alpine mountain resort, enhancing the experience of both residents and guests for generations to come.
